MSF are currently the only NGO in the North East part of the Republic of South Sudan. Conflict in the country began in 2013, bringing many people killed, Sexual and Gender Based Violence SGVB and displaced people. The humanitarian crisis has been exacerbated by factors such as food insecurity, outbreaks of diseases like cholera and malaria, and limited access to basic services like healthcare and education.
MSF services are in collaboration with Ministry of Health MoH. MSF supports 1 hospital with mother and child services, nutrition, and an emergency room. Their work and continued presence is fundamental.
